“Who has not seen the Alhambra, has not lived”
Washington Irving (1783-1859)
We will seduce you and you will enjoy an exclusive and unique visit with the best official guides, specialists in Heritage, historians and Arabists, where you will learn about the Alhambra and its history as you have never been told before.
In a tour closed to the general public you will walk and contemplate spaces and decorations in detail, you will hear the sound of water from its fountains and the smell of its plants in an environment that will evoke the splendor of the time of the Nasrid Kingdom.
An itinerary where you can listen to the history of the Nasrid Palaces, such as the Comares Palace dating from the mid-fourteenth century and is a space where the political affairs of the State were managed and where the private quarters of the monarch were located.
In the center of the Palace is the Patio de los Arrayanes, presided over by the Tower of Comares, which has a magnificent Hall, the Hall of Ambassadors, where the king gave audience. The Sala de la Barca and the Comares Baths complete this palace built in the Muslim style.
The jewel is the Patio de Los Leones and was built in the last third of the fourteenth century, marking the peak of Nasrid architecture. This enclosure is an allegory of paradise: a fountain, twelve lions, 142 columns and two rooms facing each other with a strong symbolic component make this courtyard one of the most important references of the Alhambra.
The superb muqarnas domes of the Hall of the Abencerrajes, the beautiful viewpoint of the Hall of the Muqarnas and the exquisite painting of the Hall of the Kings complete this wonderful monumental complex and a visit worth remembering.
