Description
Granada & Cordoba, the origin and decline of a place called Al-Andalus.
We are going to visit two places like © Granada & Cordoba that marked the origin and the end of Al-Andalus: one, the beginning of the Caliphate and the capital of the Umayyad dynasty, and the other, the end of an era of splendour, which culminated with the construction of the city of the Alhambra, which became the seat and residence of the Nasrid kings.
Throughout this tour you will be immersed in the Muslim legacy, but you will also get to know other cultures, such as the Roman, Jewish and Christian cultures that inhabit these two destinations.
An itinerary for the delight of the senses that has come down to us to enjoy it; smells, flavours, music, gastronomy, languages and, above all, centuries of architecture.
You will walk through two cities bathed by the water of two rivers and you will feel the power that flows from their waters. Monuments such as the Alhambra, the Generalife, Medina Azahara, the Mosque-Cathedral and neighbourhoods such as the Albaicín and the Jewish Quarter are places that are waiting for you and that stand out for their history.
Why do I want to do this Circuit and not others? Because it only exists here and we only want to share the stories we know and tell with you.
