Description
In a Tropical Coast Tour just half an hour from the city we offer you a combination of sun, beach and sea flavors.
Granada has a unique microclimate in Europe, which makes possible the cultivation of tropical fruits that are later used in its varied gastronomy. Custard apples, avocados and mangos are the basis of salads and desserts offered by the rich gastronomy of the place.
Its seafood products are also well known: shrimps, shellfish, fresh fish, its famous sardine skewers and dried octopus from its beach bars delight visitors. It is a charming place to enjoy its castles and gardens of Arab origin, Roman aqueducts, watchtowers, marinas, cliffs of unusual beauty, small secluded and natural coves and charming sunsets, where you can enjoy the sun, the sea and the warmth of this magical land.
Do you want to feel and breathe the sea breeze? We offer you the authentic taste of experiencing the local culture and living activities that combine history and an ecological gastronomy unique in Europe.
The aim of this route is to appreciate the orography of the coast of Granada, its gastronomy and the importance of its history as the starting point of the splendor of Al-Andalus, all while enjoying a subtropical microclimate in Europe.
Descending towards the coast of Granada and observing the impressive views we will visit the Port of Motril, and a factory of sugar cane products, the Arab castle of Salobreña and then to Almuñécar where we will see the remains of the Phoenician, Roman and Arab times.
We will visit the famous Nerja Caves and enjoy a panoramic view from the Balcony of Europe. We will have lunch in a tropical farm or in a beach bar on the beach (depending on the season) and on the way back we will visit a Nazarí garden to complete a different and very special tour in an environment from where we can contemplate the high peaks of the Sierra Nevada at sea level.
